Dr. Sujaya (as she is known by her patients), is certified in International Health and is a member of the International Society of Travel Medicine (ISTM). Additionally, she is a board-certified family medicine physician with more than 25 years of experience in caring for patients of all ages.
Dr. Sujaya started Southwest General’s Travelers' Clinic in response to patient demand.
“So many people asked me where they could go to get protected before traveling,” she says. “I love my patients and want to do all that I can for them, so I have become an expert in travel medicine. Now they don’t have to drive to the other side of town to get the pre-trip care they need.
"There’s nothing worse than taking a week’s vacation only to return home to spend a week in the hospital,” laments Dr. Sujaya. “Plan accordingly before you travel, and the only thing you’ll come back with will be happy memories.”
