Southwest Community Health Foundation (The Foundation) which became fully operational on June 9, 1986, is a not-for-profit corporation that centralizes all fundraising efforts of Southwest General. The Foundation through its fundraising programs and auxiliaries – The Corner Shop and TV Services – generates charitable gifts that are used to support the mission of the hospital.
The 20th annual SOUTHWEST COMMUNITY HEALTH FOUNDATION GOLF TOURNAMENT will again be returning to Columbia Hills Country Club, this year on Thursday, Aug. 5. We are pleased to announce that we will honor two men who have been very influential in supporting the philanthropic activities that benefit the Foundation; Mr. Mike Kalinich and Dr. A. H. Shatila.
As in previous years, the Tournament will consist of both a morning and an afternoon session. They will start at 7:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m., respectively. Also, as in previous years, those at the higher levels of underwriting will be given preference of tee-times and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Team members of Hole Sponsors at the $2,500 level or higher will receive a special appreciation gift.
We will continue the high quality of our traditional event featured by: (1) team, individual, and skill prizes; (2) cocktails and heavy hors d’oeuvres served at 5:30 p.m.; (3) outstanding silent auction items; and a special raffle for lunch and golf for three at Firestone with Southwest General’s President and CEO, Tom Selden.
Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the vital programs and services at Southwest General. 2009 Ireland Cancer Center Softball Game
Last year’s 3rd Annual Babes of 1916 vs. Babes of Ireland (Southwest General’s Ireland Cancer Center) raised close to $6,500 to benefit Southwest General’s Ireland Cancer Center.
