TV Rental
Patient TV rental is $6 per day, billed after discharge. Your day of admission is free and discharge, if before 4 p.m., is free. If you do not wish to rent the TV, please call 440-816-8935 to prevent billing. Your cooperation is appreciated in using the complimentary headset for TV viewing in an effort to provide a quiet environment for patients.
The on-demand health education channels are 37 through 48. Channel 49 is the 24-hour continuous-play Relaxation Channel. These channels can be viewed by our patients at no cost. Please see the TIGR Video-On-Demand patient health education program guide for your selections. TV Services Auxiliary operates the following businesses and donates all profits to Southwest General.
Newspaper Delivery
The Plain Dealer (Monday-Sunday) and USA Today (Monday-Friday) are delivered room-to-room, daily. If you missed the carrier and would like a paper, call 440-816-8940. Newspapers are complimentary.
Hair Care Services
Hair care and manicure services are available every Tuesday. Prices vary; cash and checks are accepted at time of service. For information or an appointment, please call 440-816-8673.
Southwest Community Pharmacy
Located in Southwest General’s Main Lobby, the Southwest Community Pharmacy makes it convenient for patients to fill a prescription when leaving their physicians’ offices or upon discharge. To help with costs, the pharmacy offers the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Prescription Savings Club. Members of the club are able to get a 30-day supply of more than 300 generic medications for $4.99 or a 90-day supply for $12.99. Annual member enrollment is $11.95, and that fee is automatically added to the first prescription. The pharmacy also offers some durable medical equipment, such as Medela Breast Pumps and a variety of over-the-counter medications and health products. Small Wonder Newborn Photography and Video
This is a digital photo service for your new baby’s first portrait. After your baby’s photo/video is taken in the Nursery within 24 hours of birth, you will receive a full-color proof sheet with four images to choose from, free of charge. Multiple packages and specialty items including SMALLWONDER keepsake videos/DVDs are available for purchase. Photos are posted on the SMALL WONDER Web site with parental permission. ATM Machine
