Medication Disposal Program
Started in 2007 with the city of Olmsted Falls, the Medication Disposal Program was designed to help residents safely dispose of unused medications (excluding narcotics). The program allows residents to drop off unused medicine at Southwest General, 24/7 in the Protection Services Office, for appropriate disposal. The Program has expanded since 2007 and includes the following cities: Berea, Brook Park, Columbia Township, Middleburg Heights, Olmsted Falls, Strongsville—and now Brunswick.
Southwest General is one of the few health care facilities to offer this free service to the community. To learn more about the Medication Disposal program at Southwest General, call Chief Tristan Harker, Protection Services, at 440-816-4060.
