Rainbow RapidCare, a special part of Emergency Services at Southwest General, treats children's minor medical emergencies, from cuts and scrapes to coughs and colds.
Rainbow RapidCare is staffed by board-certified physicians during hours when traditional pediatrician or family physician offices may be closed:
- Weekdays, 6 p.m. -- midnight
- Weekends and holidays, noon -- midnight.
Records from your child’s visit to Rainbow RapidCare can be sent to your pediatrician to let him/her know about the care your child received.
If your child’s needs are more serious and RapidCare is not the best option for care, your child will have access to the full resources of Southwest General’s Emergency Trauma Center, where care for children and adults is provided 24 hours a day.
