Introducing Expert Care for Kids in Brunswick

Middleburg Heights, OH (April 29, 2013) – When a child’s cold has lingered for one too many days, most parents know the importance of getting it treated and fast! That’s why Southwest General has teamed up with University Hospitals to offer Rainbow Pediatric Emergency Services 24 hours a day, seven days a week at the hospital’s Main Campus Emergency Room in Middleburg Heights, and now at Southwest General’s Brunswick ER.

Through the Rainbow Pediatric Emergency Services offered at Southwest General, children will receive timely and effective diagnosis and treatment in a family-friendly, kid-focused environment. Southwest General’s exceptional team of board-certified emergency medicine physicians and emergency trained nurses, treat young patients, from newborns to toddlers to tweens and teens suffering from a variety of medical conditions, including:

• Bone fractures
• Sprains
• Lacerations
• Fever
• Diarrhea
• Vomiting
• Asthma
• Headache
• Stomachache
• Dehydration
• Ear, nose and throat infections

Most importantly, if it is determined that more critical medical attention is needed, families will have immediate access to the pediatric resources of the nationally renowned University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital—located in downtown Cleveland.

Additionally, solidifying our commitment to high-quality emergency services for our community members, Southwest General’s ER has been ranked among the top five percent in the nation, according to HealthGrades, a national hospital ratings organization.
