Southwest General’s Radiology Department provides a full array of imaging procedures to support accurate, timely diagnosis and treatment. State-of-the-art facilities and technology allow for a wide variety of services, from basic x-ray studies to sophisticated, real-time imaging of the heart. Services include:
Mammography -- digital mammography is available at all Southwest General locations and 3-D digital mammography (Tomosynthesis) is available at the Breast Center on the Main Campus.
MRI - including High-Field Open MRI
CT scanning - including 64-slice CT scanning
Bone densitometry (DEXA)
Please note: A physician order is required for all radiology procedures.

Southwest General offers High-Field Open MRI services at the Strongsville Medical Center. This state-of-the-art technology provides high performance in a truly open configuration.
Southwest General is fully accredited by the American College of Radiology in Breast Ultrasound, CT, Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Stereotactic Breast Biopsy and Ultrasound.
Additionally, Southwest General has earned Breast Imaging Center of Excellence status from the American College of Radiology, and w e have been recognized as an Image Gently supporter for our commitment to using safe radiation protocol for pediatric CT imaging.
