Helping patients through the healing process

At Southwest General, we want to make sure our patients have the special care they need with wounds that can be slow to heal or that are resistant to conventional treatment.

Helping Patients Manage Their Wounds to Avoid Health Risks

Southwest General’s Wound Care Center specializes in caring for patients who have chronic wounds that are slow to heal or that may be resistant to healing with conventional treatment.  Because these types of wounds can result in a variety of health risks, including loss of limbs and life-threatening conditions, effective treatment is critical.

A Comprehensive Approach to Wound Treatment

The Wound Care Center provides a thorough and comprehensive outpatient program that features the latest in specialized approaches to wound care.  The Center includes a team of highly experienced clinical professionals, including skilled physicians and certified wound care nurses who focus on each patient’s needs and deliver care in a professional and compassionate manner.

Focused on Excellent Care

Members of the Wound Care team are continuously applying advances in wound management to help assure that our patients recover quickly and without complications.  Together they employ best practice treatments to help heal the wounds, prevent recurrence and, whenever possible, work to help improve the quality of life for their patients.
