Southwest General Medical Group, Inc. – Midwifery Services provides a hands-on, holistic approach to pregnancy with an emphasis on fewer technological and invasive interventions. The practice focuses on individualized, supportive care, including:
Routine gynecological exams
Help with pre-pregnancy planning
Support during labor
Delivery of baby
Education on infant care and self-care
Southwest General’s midwife works closely with board-certified OB/GYNs should complications occur during routine care, pregnancy, labor and delivery.

The office phone number is 440-816-5390. If you need to speak with the midwife after hours, please leave a message with the answering service to have her paged. She will return your call as soon as possible. If you have an emergency, please go to the closest Emergency Room or call 911!
To schedule an appointment, call the office at 440-816-5390. Some same-day appointments may be available. We require 24-hour notice if you need to cancel or re-schedule an appointment so that we can use the time to accommodate other patients. There is a $25 no-show fee. Exclusions are given for urgent matters.
Prescriptions and Refills
If you need to renew a prescription, you or your pharmacist may call our office. We request 24-48 hours notice for prescription refills so that we can be sure to accommodate the needs of our patients. Same day renewals are available if you are completely out of your medication.
The following information is needed to process your prescription renewal request:
Name of medication
Strength of medication
How often medication is to be taken
Quantity need (30 day or 90 day)
Date on which the prescription was last filled
Pharmacy phone number
Pharmacy fax number (if the prescription needs to be faxed to the pharmacy)
Phone number where the patient can be reached, in case we need to contact the patient that day
Once we have received and reviewed your test results, we will contact you by phone with the results using our Secure Reach message system. Our goal is to get test results to you within one week after the midwife has signed off on them. If you have questions about your test results, please contact our office.
