Students, aged 14 to 18, interested in volunteering, should carefully consider a junior volunteer placement at Southwest General as a commitment. 

Patients, families and co-workers rely on volunteers and count on the caring and friendly service provided by all.  A 40-hour minimum commitment annually is required.  Most junior volunteers contribute two hours, once a week.  After your application has been received, orientation may be scheduled if a placement is appropriate.  Junior volunteers are required to attend volunteer orientation.
