Touch the Future Capital Campaign

Touch the Future Campaign

Southwest General's monumental Touch the Future capital campaign and expansion project is a significant step in the strategic plan of Southwest General. The project allows the hospital to continue to meet the growing needs of the surrounding areas we serve. With increasing health care needs, we remain committed to providing our patients state-of-the-art technology and facilities they deserve, in addition to the best care possible. There's something comforting in knowing that you don't have to go far for great care, and even better, you never have to leave the comfort of your community to receive the entire continuum of care. Yet one more reason proving you're in the right hands at Southwest General.

Implementation of the expansion project will include:

  • A new 30,000-square-foot Emergency Department (ED)
  • Expansion and reallocation of the Critical Care Unit
  • Construction of a 96-private room patient bed tower
  • 250-car patient/visitor parking structure

Additionally, the project will include repurposing of the existing ED, and once the new tower opens, renovation and retrofitting most of the current semi-private rooms to private rooms. The project is large and complex in scope, as it is compromised of multiple staged components . The entire scope of the project is scheduled for completion in 2015.

We encourage you to visit us at for progress updates on this exciting new addition.
