The Breast Center at Southwest General offers a breast nurse navigator to help address the needs, concerns and special issues facing a woman with breast disease.

A Personal, Confidential and Caring Resource

A membner of the Breast Center team, our specially trained breast nurse navigator works with patients to meet a wide variety of needs. This includes helping women understand and access the care they need for the best possible outcomes. Some of services our breast nurse navigator provides include:

• Providing emotional support to patients and families as they cope with breast health issues
• Educating patients and families about breast disease
• Facilitating patient compliance with physician recommendations by verifying that patients understand their diagnosis, the course of treatment and the importance of complying with treatment recommendations.
• Providing advice and counsel on important decisions regarding treatment
• Coordinating the various phases of a patient treatment from diagnosis through recovery
