Accessing the Care You Need

SurgeonsSouthwest General continues to provide safe, quality care for the communities we serve. We follow all current guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) to keep patients, visitors and staff safe so that we can provide the quality care and attention you need.

We encourage you not to delay seeking the care you need to maintain your health and wellness. Following is an update on service access at Southwest General:

Emergency Care – Don’t Delay!

The Southwest General Emergency Rooms on our Main Campus and at the Brunswick Medical Center are open, safe and ready to care for you. We encourage you to seek care immediately if you have a medical emergency. For serious injuries or urgent symptoms, such as chest pain, difficulty breathing or signs of a stroke, call 911 immediately or go to the emergency room. Don’t delay, as waiting to seek care can be life-threatening or cause permanent damage to your health.

Physician Appointments

Our Southwest General Medical Group (SGMG) physicians are seeing patients in person and via telehealth visits. We encourage you to make an appointment with your physician for the care you need to maintain your health and wellness. If you have medical questions or concerns or if you need preventive care—such as a mammogram or immunizations—contact your physician’s office today, or call our Health Connection at 440-816-5050 for a physician referral.

Outpatient Surgeries, Procedures and Lab Testing
To schedule an outpatient surgery or procedure, or for outpatient services such as imaging, lab testing, physical therapy or cardiac rehabilitation, call our Pre-Access Management Department at 440-816-8605.

Telehealth Services

We offer telehealth services, including both video and phone visits. These options are helpful for patients who do not need an in-person visit and who prefer to speak with a provider from the convenience of home. Telehealth visits are available for:

Mental Health Services

During times of crisis, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, levels of fear, anxiety, isolation and uncertainty may become elevated.
