Southwest General Outpatient Services Update

If you have delayed seeking care during the COVID-19 pandemic, we encourage you not to delay any longer. We have re-opened many services, and we are following all current guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and prevention (CDC) and the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) to keep patients and staff safe so we can provide the quality care and attention you need.

Emergency Care

The Southwest General Emergency Rooms on our Main Campus and at the Brunswick Medical Center are open, safe and ready to care for you. We encourage you to seek care immediately if you have a medical emergency. For serious injuries or urgent symptoms, such as chest pain, difficulty breathing or signs of a stroke, call 911 immediately or go to the emergency room. Don’t delay, as waiting to seek care can be life-threatening or cause permanent damage to your health.

Physician Appointments

Our Southwest General Medical Group (SGMG) physicians are seeing patients in person and via telehealth (video visits and telephone visits). We encourage you to make an appointment with your physician for the care you need to maintain your health and wellness. If you have medical questions or concerns or if you need preventive care, such as a mammogram or immunizations, contact your physician’s office today for an appointment, or call our Health Connection at 440-816-5050 for a physician referral.

Surgery

We have resumed providing elective and same-day surgery procedures. To reschedule an outpatient surgery or procedure that was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, call our centralized scheduling department at 440-816-8605.
