Keeping You Safe

collage of many COVID-19 protocols being enforcedFor your health and safety, Southwest General is following all current guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) to assure that the proper protections and precautions are in place to provide care. These safety measures include:

Masking: All patients, guests and employees are REQUIRED to wear a facial covering in all Southwest General facilities.

Screening: Everyone who enters our facilities is screened for temperature and signs of illness.

Social Distancing: We encourage proper social distancing (six feet apart) in all public areas, including waiting rooms.

Enhanced Cleaning: In addition to Southwest General’s enhanced cleaning protocols and procedures, designated team members now routinely clean and disinfect high-touch spaces, equipment and furniture every hour throughout the day.

Hand Hygiene: We follow proper handwashing policies, and, in addition to frequent hand washing, we encourage regular use of hand sanitizer.

Telehealth Appointments: We offer both video (online) and phone visit options for physician appointments, Behavioral Health services and Physical Therapy services

In addition to the measures above, we care for all infectious patients in isolation, away from non-infectious patients. Also, we monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to assure that caregivers use the appropriate PPE at all times to care for patients.

Please know that we are doing everything we can to help ensure that our patients, staff and community remain safe.
