New Altenheim Therapy Rehab Center

Altenheim, rated 5 Stars Overall by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, has a new, state of the art Therapy Rehab Center. The Center operates according to hospitality principles and to promote holistic healing. Features include all private rooms with Wi-Fi, private bathrooms with large, accessible roll-in showers, room service, and a pub!

The Alpine Lodge themed Therapy Rehab Center promotes tranquility through connections to nature. These include expansive windows, and an outdoor “Biergarten.”

The vaulted 4000+ square foot therapy gym has versatile in-patient and out-patient therapy spaces and state-of-the-art equipment including HydroWorx ® aqua therapy; a fully operational training kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and laundry; and, a private, outdoor cul-de-sac for training in the client’s personal vehicle. An outdoor therapy courtyard, pictured below, provides various ground elements to enhance ambulation exercises for the transition to home. Services are provided by licensed physical, occupational and speech therapists for patients with joint replacements, fractures, cardiac diagnoses, strokes, neurological, respiratory, and other diagnoses.

Skilled nursing services manage medical and surgical diagnoses including diabetes, wound care, complex disease management, COPD, CHF, pulmonary diseases, IV infusion therapy, TPN, total hip and knee replacements, strokes and cardiac events. Care is provided, in conjunction with a local staff of attending physicians, by nurse practitioners, RNs, LPNs, and state tested nursing assistants. The direct care staff is on duty 24/7. Wound care services are provided by physicians and a certified wound care nurse.
