Oakview Behavioral Health Services
A person suffering from a chemical addiction or from mental health disorders
deserves appropriate treatment with love, dignity and respect. This belief
is the cornerstone of the services offered through Southwest General's
Oakview Behavioral Health Center.
Quality, Personalized Care
Oakview is located on a nine-acre wooded lot on the grounds of Southwest
General, offering patients and their families a peaceful and calm setting
away from the activity of the Health Center. The building, which opened
in 1991, is specially designed for the patient's comfort, with large
windows overlooking the wooded acreage. Patient rooms and family meeting
areas present a home-like decor.
Because every patient is unique, Oakview offers:
- Inpatient and outpatient* treatment for mental health
- Outpatient* treatment for chemical dependency
- Dual diagnosis treatment for patients with both mental health problems
and chemical addictions--resources available under the same roof.
*Outpatient treatment is located at the Middleburg Heights Medical Center.
Oakview's goal is to provide the highest quality of care in the least
restrictive and most cost-effective environment. A dedicated staff of
physicians, psychiatrists, nurses, counselors, social workers and therapists
comprise the teams to offer the best possible care.
