Health and Wellness Services for Women

At Southwest General, we understand that your active life is filled with taking care of your home, your family, your career and so much more. So often, the last person you actually take care of is yourself. That's why we're proud to offer our Comprehensive Women's Health Care services to the Greater Cleveland area. We're here to help you improve your own health and to improve health services for women of all ages by:

  • Offering a full range of health and wellness services for women
  • Providing better access to, and coordination of, health services for women
  • Improving the cultural competency of health care providers regarding women's health care

Programs to Promote Women’s Health

Southwest General offers a wide range of services to help women improve their overall health and well-being, including:

  • Breast Center – We provide a wide range of breast health services at our Main Campus in Middleburg Heights and at our Strongsville and Brunswick medical centers. Our services include:
    • Breast Cancer Screening - Services for routine breast health screening.
    • Mammography - All Southwest General facilities offering mammography services feature digital mammography. Additionally, state-of-the-art 3D mammography (Tomosynthesis) is available at the Breast Center located on our Main Campus in Middleburg Heights.
    • Breast Cancer Support Group - A program offering mutual support and education for women diagnosed with breast cancer.
  • Bone Density Screening – Services to monitor and improve bone health to avoid osteoporosis
  • Classes and Events – Educational opportunities tailored to women’s health
  • Fitness and Nutrition – Instruction and support for positive lifestyle changes and weight management
  • Healthy Heart Program – A screening program to help women improve their cardiac health
  • Maternity Services – Personalized care for mothers and babies
  • Pelvic Floor and Bladder Control Program – A program that uses specialized exercises to help women strengthen pelvic muscles that have been weakened through childbirth, surgery, trauma or aging.
  • Robotic Surgery – Minimally invasive robot-assisted surgery for gynecologic conditions
