Special Events

Events are a great way to bring people together to raise money for a specific cause. Some events at Southwest General have been going on for decades, and some are more recent.

Light the Night to Honor a Life

2021

Southwest General Hospice will once again hold its annual Light the Night to Honor a Life event beginning on December 10, 2021 at the Thomas P. Perciak Residential Hospice in Strongsville. This event allows members of our community to honor someone special by sponsoring a beautiful glowing luminaria or tree.

To make your donation for a luminaria today, please click here.

Please note that all donations must be made by November 29th, 2021

All proceeds from Light the Night to Honor a Life benefit the Dennis C. Simmerman Hospice Community Care Fund. Founded in 2008, this fund provides critical financial and care-related services for hospice patients and families of limited means. In addition to financial assistance for residential hospice care, the fund provides support for services such as in-home caretakers, transportation of family members for visitation and help with medication. Your support of Light the Night to Honor a Life will make an important difference in providing compassionate care to patients in our community.
