Middleburg Heights, OH (Monday, Feb. 2, 2026) – Healthgrades, the nation’s leading resource for hospital quality information, has released its highly anticipated 2026 America’s Best HospitalsTM rankings, identifying top-performing hospitals nationwide based on objective clinical outcomes data. The annual list distinguishes hospitals that demonstrate superior performance in patient care and outcomes across a broad range of conditions and procedures.
Among the nation’s top performers, Southwest General Health Center in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, has been honored with multiple Healthgrades recognitions for 2026, underscoring its ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and clinical excellence.
Southwest General’s honors include:
- America’s 100 Best Hospitals AwardTM (2026) – Placing Southwest General in the top two percent of U.S. hospitals for consistent clinical excellence
- America’s 250 Best Hospitals AwardTM (2026) – Recognizing outstanding performance in clinical outcomes, ranking among the top five percent of hospitals nationwide

Healthgrades annual America’s Best Hospitals analysis evaluates clinical performance for approximately 4,500 hospitals nationwide across more than 30 common procedures and conditions, focusing exclusively on patient outcomes. According to Healthgrades, if all hospitals performed at the level of America’s 250 Best Hospitals, more than 211,000 lives could have been saved over a three-year period.
“This recognition reflects the exceptional care our physicians, nurses, therapists and staff provide every day,” said William A. Young, Jr., president and chief executive officer, Southwest General. “Being named among the nation’s best hospitals across multiple service lines reinforces our commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care close to home for the communities we serve.”
As consumers take a more active role in managing their healthcare, access to reliable, objective quality data has become increasingly important. Healthgrades research shows that nearly two-thirds of patients are more likely to choose a hospital recognized for quality performance—yet nearly half of Americans live more than 25 miles from one of the nation’s top-rated hospitals.
