Southwest General Honors Dr. Vasu Pandrangi with Mighty Oak Award and Chairman Emeritus Designations

Middleburg Heights, OH (Friday, June 12, 2026) – In recognition of his extraordinary leadership, service and dedication to Southwest General Health Center and the Southwest Community Health System, Dr. Vasu Pandrangi has been selected as the recipient of Southwest General’s prestigious Mighty Oak Award and named Chairman Emeritus by the Southwest Community Health System Board of Trustees. The honors were bestowed upon Dr. Pandrangi as he concludes more than 30 years of service on the Board of Trustees.

Through his distinguished tenure, Dr. Pandrangi has served in numerous leadership roles, including Medical Staff President, Chairman of the Health System Board of Trustees and Medical Staff Trustee. Beyond his leadership contributions, he has been a highly respected physician and generous philanthropist, all in helping to shape the organization through decades of growth and transformation.

The Mighty Oak Award, voted on by the Health System Board of Trustees, recognizes an individual who has provided at least 10 years of service to Southwest General while making significant contributions to the organization and demonstrating outstanding leadership. The award reflects the strength, stability and enduring impact of individuals whose dedication has helped guide the health system’s success.
