Southwest General offers a broad range of programs designed to provide patients with the dignified care and compassion they need to improve their quality of life and their ability to function.

Our health care professionals are trained and certified to deal with behavioral health issues that include addiction, mental health disorders and struggles associated with aging.

Mental Health Services We Offer

Our Oakview Behavioral Health Services are located in Middleburg Heights, OH. We focus on successful outcomes and the development of self-awareness, self-acceptance and personal responsibility.

Services we provide include:

  • Assessment Services – These services are the first step in determining the existence of a mental health or substance abuse disorder. Treatment recommendations are made after a comprehensive assessment of psychiatric, physical, addictive and mental health issues. Emergency assessments are available 24 hours a day through Southwest General's Emergency Department. Non-emergency assessments may be scheduled during regular business hours by calling 440-816-8200.
  • Addiction ServicesOakview Behavioral Health Services is fully accredited by Joint Commission and licensed as an addiction treatment center by the state of Ohio. The Center features a multidisciplinary clinical team and a highly successful back-to-basics approach to help adults recover from substance abuse. Family involvement is highly encouraged.
  • Mental Health Services –Comprehensive services for inpatient and outpatient treatment of patients with metal health disorders. Features a variety of treatment methods and therapeutic activities.

Additionally, Southwest General offers a Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit on the Main Campus in Middleburg Heights. This program focuses on the special needs of older adults with acute psychiatric and behavioral issues.

These services are provided by certified health care professionals who are trained to address the mental and physical challenges of behavioral disorders. Our multidisciplinary team is committed to guiding each and every patient down the road to recovery.
