
In April 2019, construction began to expand Southwest General’s Oakview Behavioral Health Services Inpatient Facility. The $6.5 million capital improvement project will address the growing need for behavioral health services by enlarging the Inpatient Facility, converting from semi-private to private patient rooms, and increasing the number of beds available for inpatient care. The project will not only increase the capacity for treating psychiatric patients at Southwest General but also enhance safety measures for patients and staff. Additionally, it will help to position Southwest General as the premiere west side provider of comprehensive behavioral health services.
Construction is expected to be completed in the fall of 2019, and renovation of the existing space is anticipated to be completed in early 2020.
Southwest General Medical Group Behavioral Health is Moving Offices
Southwest General Medical Group’s (SGMG) Behavioral Health practice will relocate to the newly renovated and expanded Oakview Behavioral Health Services facility and will begin seeing patients in the new location on Monday, Dec. 16, 2019.
