What Type of Visit Do I Need?

To help meet patient needs, Southwest General Medical Group (SGMG) providers offer several safe and convenient appointment options—including telehealth (virtual) visits. Options include:

  • In-person Visits

    An in-person office visit may be scheduled for any non-emergency care that requires in-person assessment, treatment or procedures. Both current and new patients are invited to schedule an in-person appointment in one of the following ways:
  1. Call the provider’s office directly
  2. Use your Southwest General HealtheLife account to send a message requesting an appointment. Someone from the office will then contact you about your appointment.
  • Scheduled Telehealth/Virtual Visits

    If you do not need in-person care and prefer to visit with your provider from the convenience of home, you can schedule a telehealth (virtual) visit. Telehealth visits may be scheduled by current SGMG patients.

  • On Demand Care - NEW!

    Southwest General On-Demand Care lets you get online medical help when you need it—no need to schedule an appointment! You can call and see a licensed SGMG provider from the comfort and convenience of home for a variety of non-emergency conditions such as allergies, cold and flu, ear infections and more. This service is available Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Important Appointment Reminders

  • What to bring to your appointment - You should bring your insurance card and a photo ID with you to all appointments.
  • Same day appointments – Some same-day appointments may be available with your provider. If you are unable to schedule a same-day appointment with your provider, consider using Southwest General’s On-Demand Care to see an SGMG provider online within minutes for many non-emergency conditions.
  • Cancellations -To cancel or re-schedule an appointment, please be sure to call your provider’s office or send a message via your Southwest General HealtheLife account at least 24 hours in advance of your appointment. This will allow us use the time to accommodate other patients.
